 Lights wrapped around my balcony railing.

Converted with Silver Efex. Used two different fractalius filters on it. Some perfectum as well. Upped contrast and brightness.

This is a great image. Like so many others in this side challenge. That's it, you've inspired me to investigate the world of photoshop filters... no more of this Basic Editing rubbish for me. :)

Alicia, this is so fun. (A side note, I wish they did Fractalius for us Mac users!). Who could have thought lights could look so great.

I'm glad you put in a description of what the lights were wrapped around, or I wouldn't have any idea. Very nice effect! The contrast in the B&W is perfect!

I don't have a clue how you did this, even after reading your notes, but I really like the effect. There is just one little line between two of the lights on the left (like a spiderweb) that I find distracting.
