 Adjusted levels, contrast, cropped and sharpened. I was very limited for this contest, my car was in the shop and I had no way to go out and look for anything rusted. I had to make do with what I have around the house.

Keep trying. This photo deserved a much better finish in my opinion. I gave it a 7.

Thanks to all who voted and commented on my image for the challenge. I got some helpful tips. Didn't do near as well as I'd hoped for my first challenge, but hey there are always more!

Very nice use of DOF. Simple object but interesting photo. Nice clarity on the main subject and just the right DOF. Good luck with the challenge!!!

Far too much unused space. I do like that the focus is exactly where it should be, I do not see though why we are looking at bolt almost head on.

Good use of DOF and color contrast; but the rusty subject isn't very appealing or key in this shot.
