Trademark Heida clouds! You find and capture them well--and they seem to enhance any subject you shoot. |

I have only been back on this site in the last month... but after seeing your photos in the last few challenges, I knew this was yours all the way. Great shot. |

All I can say is 'Dang Bird!'
Perhaps it's just me, but the bird in the image seems to take away a little.
I really like this shot otherwise. |

I don't know why but when I saw this photo I thought that Heida where the photographer ... but I'm propable wrong. I don't see much of rust in this photo but it is there so I have to vote something ... love the sky, dark and blue. |

This is a really good photo, but i'm dissapointed that it doesn't show the rust on the pipe, because it looks like a silhouette. You could have went back another time to catch the light on the side of the pipe. I do like the composition and perspective. The sky is very moody. And that bird adds a nice touch to the photo.
I'm pretty sure this is Heida, good luck :) |

very dark and foreboding. I like how you've captured that mood. Kind of a lunar landscape feel. I can't tell if it is a closeup of something small, or a shot of something really big, I like that. good job. |

This has a nice atmosphere. Tha shadow area has a lot of contrast and really commands the eye. Cropping a little from the bottom would help reduce its significance and help the eye to remain on the intended subject. |

The colours in this are beautiful... I'd probably clone out the shadow if it were advanced editing, but no use quibbling about that in a basic. :) This is a very sharp, pleasing photograph, and it is among my favourites for this challenge - 10 |

Can't tell the pipe is that rusted. You get a 10 from me. Just because I think this is an outstanding picture in every way. The white speck on the cloud would not be there if you could do local editing. The light blue of the sky is just in the right place. The union of the pipes is nicely lit. The rock is aesthetically piled and presents lots of variations on a theme of hardness as do the watery shapes of the cloud formations overhead. A 10. |

this is a very nice perspective.. although the rust is not excagerrated, i think it fits the challenge perfectly.. much better than some of the pictures of "only"rust in this challenge.. "7" |

Awesome sky. Would have liked a bit of detail underneath the pipe. Perhaps a fill in flash. |

The sky/ground exposure is right on and the proportion of the pipe is great...even the shadow works well here...sort of makes you wonder where the pipe is headed and what's it pouring out |

Excellent composition and clarity in this image. Everything works without extraneous detail. (Yes, I like the bird too) Beautiful photography. Good luck. |

The sky is dramatic, the composition is good, but the pipe is just too dark to see; although the base is obviously rusty as well.

This image violates many of the traditional "standards" of artwork. It's lighter at the bottom than the top. It reads best from top-left-center toward bottom-right-center. There's no texture in the shadows. But.. having said all that (take a breath) THIS IS THE IMAGE THAT PROVES THE EXCEPTION TO THE RULE! Going against all common rules of composition and all that academic stuff - this is one of the very best images in this challenge for me. |

Wonderfully ominous pic! There's unfortunate dithering in the sky on my monitor, though. Overall, weird in a nice way. |

Overall, this is a really nice shot. I like the gravely mounds and the stormy sky. I'd like to see more detail in the pipe, at least around the triangular stand. |
