"A happy stroll in life will make your walk all the more colorful."

This was part of a calendar idea that I had going for 2009. Never got around to getting 12 photos together (I managed to get 5 together) for this year so I have put it on the shelf for next year. The object of this composition was for the umbrella to 'mimic' a rainbow. I know that it is not entirely true to the ROY G. BIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet) because I felt the green needed to break up the blue tones at the end of the sequence.

Details:
I had my youngest skip and jump while taking photos on rapid fire. Camera was on a tripod to ensure composition stayed fixed. Then I choose a sequence from the photo shoot and began processing.

Seven layers each with one shot of the sequence layed out. I did have to do some selective editing to make sure clouds were not 'blurred' through overlap.

Selective editing to change colors of umbrella which is originally red. Why spend a ton of money and time trying to find the right colors and same size of umbrellas when it can all be done in PP:-)?

What a fun picture! I love how the umbrellas are all different colors. This has got to look beautiful hanging on a wall.

You did'nt buy all the coloured umbrellas but did them in pp....you got skillz!

this is the best photograph .. fantastic happy feel and excellent processing .. shame you couldnt enter this one in a challenge .. love the different coloured umbrellas and your dancing child .. a beautiful and imaginative image .. :)
