A cool plate found inside an bought an enormous old trunk, sitting atop a plain white plastic plate. And atop the metal plate is a braid of three lengths of red licorice! I wondered if the b/w might make the licorice look more like metal. As usual I like to confuse and confound people :-)
Shot with camera on tripod and my ginormous $2 light.

I think BW was a mistake - it would have ribboned if it was in full color.

...ok, maybe not ribboned, but it would look much more tasty. :)

interesting choice to go to the b&w on this shot, It seems that there are some exposure issues based on the multiple hotspots, or its lighting... maybe both

Oh. I think this would have looked much better in color. Or with more contrast. It's a bit washed out.
