 Thanks to everyone that commented. I'm sorry I should have filled this out before, but was in a hurry when I uploaded it. A couple of have sent me messages wondering if I really found blue candy canes or if the colors had been changed? Unfortunatley I have never found blue candy canes like this. In the original picture the candy canes are red. It took some very careful post-processing to get these this particular color of blue!

Nice abstract, changing the color was a good idea - made recognizing the subject that more of a puzzle!

Nice image. The blue is very pretty. I like looking at the blue candy, but I prefer eating the red ones. ;)

The blue ones are blueberry or blue raspberry flavored usually. Yummy!

Agree that a solid background might work better, or at least desaturating this one so it doesn't steal my eye from the cool blue candy canes.

Just a quick glance at the thumbnail, I thought I was looking at some unusual spiked plant with the spikes at the diagonal. The closer look of course shows some unusually colored candy canes. I like the way you composed the shot to lay on the diagonal. It adds visual interest to the composition and it also happens to 'follow' the lines/stripes on the candy canes as well. Colors are bold and pop off the page. My only critique is that the backdrop is not a solid color and has 'things' going on in the backdrop that distract. One suggestion is to get a solid tone background so the white and blue colors of the candy cane really pops off of it (black would work best). The second suggestion is that you have more of the same colored candy canes lying underneath the six you see here so that it adds even MORE lines and pop of color to be visually interesting.
