[Dec. 7th, 2008 11:50:17 PM]

We had just finished taking some shots down by the river and were on the way back to town and i saw this beautiful sunset so i just pulled into the ditch and shot this. The sun was setting so fast i didn't have time to setup light stands or reflectors. He mother held my flash off the the right, didn't even have time to use the umbrella. I agree the fence should have been farther back but i didn't have room i was on my belly with my feet on the edge of a busy road. it was so dark i could see her face or things like the stray grass.
Thanks for all the great comments.

She is well lit, only together with the background I think it's too bright. The barbed wire doesn't add to the composition for me - maybe your comment to the picture will make it clearer to me what your idea was.
Just taking the girl I'd say it's a nice portrait of her.

Not sharp enough for me. I'd like if she sat further from the barbed wire so the light wouldn't illuminate it, I think it looks better on the left side where it's a silhouette.

I really like this, I just wish you'd pulled her a little further from the fence to through it out of focus a little; those sharp edges kind of ruin the feel of the image for me.

Nice portrait, that blade of grass could do with being removed though :)

Hmmm.... the light is a bit too bright on her, I think for a sunset photo... but she's well-posed and I really like that fence (but not the plant stem going through the middle of the image.) (not voting yet)

nice use of the late sunset as a background - but the lighting on her face is a bit harsh and creates some unflattering shadows

Nice portrait. Love the sunset. (I think her red nails pull the eye away but I'm a dumb girl, so disregard.) :~) 7
