 Convert from RAW, save for web. Its a bird so I am sure it won't do well, especially in a free study. But I love it so to you the voter it goes!

Nice photo. I wish the herring was a little further to the right in the frame. Then he would be blocking less of the fall colors. Still a good photo.

The eye is nice and sharp, but I don't care for how much room is between the subject and the right side/frame of the pic.

"Heron," although I'm sure someone already mentioned that malapropism in your title. A Great Blue Heron, with very nice fall reflections to set him off. Could use just a wee push of the contrast.

Lovely bokeh... just enough DOF to make sure we know it's water... but not too much to distract us from the subject. (not voting yet)
