I also thought this would have placed much higher. Love it.

and then a step to the riiiiight. I really liked this image, imagine on monitors that aren't calibrated it might have appeared too dark.

Less than 6 - really? Wow, I figured this to be shoe-in for top-ten... Underrated for sure!!!

I love the lighting on this shot, the tube blends to the background just enough

I don't get the title, but that doesn't matter. I like the concept and execution of this image. It meets the challenge well. The lighting is good and so is the DOF. A simple yet effective photo.

not sure what the title means, but I love the image. I have to say, it looked really, really nice on my high-end LCD at work but just pretty nice on my home CRT, hmm - time for a new monitor...

Great focus and composition. The colour is great too.

this is actually a fabulous shot, I adore the golden tones that are creeping into your darker rich browns, the curves long to be teased into a straight line. You just want to feel this in your hands and feel the ribbed metal sliding through as you pull it straight. Amazing lighting glowing onto the curves, bringing out the softness of it even though you know it is hard. The darkness of the black just pulls you into the abyss and makes you want more. 9
