I find it cropped a little too close and the even lighting is not working for me, I'm afraid.

They are certainly are. Nice brown warm golden tones on the bread and basket, with a pillow of white softness surrounding them.

I think a better angle to shoot these would be from higher up to avoid the clutter in the background.
