Congrats on fifth, on your first entry! Amazing. Great shot of the Peter Iredale, I know exactly where that is at. Love the blurred water. |

I've been to see this wreck many times, and I never once thought of using it for the Rust challenge. It was a great idea, and it resulted in a great photo too. From the comments you received I'd bet that if you had leveled the horizon you would have won a ribbon with this image. Good work!

One of my favorites. The spots on the bottom right corner are a bit distracting though. I would prefer it to be a bit sharper and cropped differently (include the whole shadow in the picture). (9) |

What a great find! I love the slow shutter effect, and the old hull is a great point of interest. The dull blue/grey also works great in the image, but I would have like to see a bit more sharpness in the hull details. |

excellent, long exposure added to the feeling... I also like that the photo is aligned to the object, not to the horizon. |

hmmm ... i only give this a 6 because the horizon is tilted ... i'd like more rusty color and sharpness ... i would also have cropped differently (cut off the rock on the left, have the whole reflection on there and slightly move the wreck to the left) ...i like the long exposure |

I like this a great deal. In spite of a few flaws it may well be best of show. The sloping horizon bothers me a bit but it seems to work with the rest of the composition. Love the colors and levels. Misty sky with a hint of sun about to emerge adds drama. Good luck. - 10 |

Truly a gorgeous image. The horizon just seems a little off, and I don't mean from the horizontal, but off of where the perspective of horizontal eyes viewing this would lead. I want to tilt my head to the right to look at this. The highlight in the sky right at the prow is very serendipitous and the overall lighting, colors, textures, superb.
A 10. |

I like the mood of this picture, the subject, the colors and the long exposure. Too bad the horizon's tipped, and I think the cropping could be tighter (perhaps in portrait rather than landscape. |

Definately in the rust category but the photo appears dead. I would have chesen different wheather to compose the photo(but that's my choice). |

Not a bad shot of the 100yr old boat! I like how you capture the ocean foam sweeping from shoreline back to sea. Would have preferred to see this with a level horizon! |

I don't understand why you wanted the horizon tilted so much. I also wonder if the shot might be improved by aiming to the left slightly - adding that rock to the left of the frame. I really like the shot though, especially how the wreck fits perfectly with the cloudy gloomy look that would spoil most other pictures. The blur in the waves also fits the picture well. good job. |

Very good, but a bit too centered main object. And there's a "what's-that-on-the-left-feeling". I would have moved to the left to bring that in (depending on what it was perhaps) or zoomed in a bit to get rid of the left thingie and get a more interesting composition around the main wreck. |

Great colors
I hope nobody marks you down for the none flat horrizon
I would have rotated it more to make the side of the ship look more like a bow giving the impression speed eg. ran aground at speed 9 |

This would be a very nice picture - if the horizon was level. It just looks extremely weird the way it is now. But I like the object and also the way the water looks with this long exposure time. The foam in the bottom left is a bit distracting, too - but not too bad. |
