Captures the quiet and the solemnity of the place fairly well. The composition has the ability to evoke a touch of tranquility. That's how I was drawn to this picture. |

Composition;
A slight shift to the right would have done a bit of good. The leading lines are all good here. When doing this sort of shot you want your end subject to be a bit more dominate than you have here. It's a very good attempt and an even better learning shot. The dead space on the left is to over powering in the shot. Had the end pew begun at the edge it would hold far better.
Exposure: Coming from a wedding photographer I know how tough it is to shoot in churches. It's a nightmare to get a decent shot exposed correctly or even close for that matter. You have quite a bit of noise in your shot but, I really like how you compensate by going to Sepia and giving it an antique type look. It's funny because that is exactly what I do when I find myself in a pinch with a client and wind up with noisy shots. You did good here. Did you try B&W at all? I'd like to see a B&W version and maybe even introduce a tad bit more noise for effect.
Overall I'd say your shot was fairly good with all things considered. Just a couple things to consider next time but you pulled it off. It's not a snapshot and I don't believe you finished last. Congrats and keep up the work. I seen your port and your going to do quite well here. |

A nice angle to emphasize the woodwork on the benches and still give good context. It does appear as though it may have been a bit underexposed to begin with. |

The low perspective creates a sense of inferiority in the viewer. This may be intentional here, but the tilted perspective and the abrupt crop/framing create a disturbing image. My own bias certainly comes into play here, but the overall darkness alongside the afore mentioned elements does create an ominous mood. |
