Luckily, Art-Rolfmao, had a photo of himself sitting in a van, in his "Self Indulgent" collection:
DSCN0001.jpg
I printed a photo of "Art Rolfmao"and added duct tape, then taped it to slightly curve backwards to add more of a 3d effect. I put a large pillow inside a Winter Jacket.
Then took all the equipment outside in the Cold and slight Snow-Flurries. Took 19 shots, including 2-Setup ones, using 2 to 3 SB-800 Flash units on PocketWizard Wireless remotes. After about 8-Trips in-n-out I brought all the props and equipment back inside, getting back to my PC by 11:11 PM. I have not adjusted my camera to our local Daylight-Savings-Time change. Luckily I took the shots early enough.
I set all the usual controls on Adobe Bridge's Raw Import screen. I used only the ones on the first tabbed page: White Balance, Temperature, Tint, Exposure, Recovery, Fill Light, Blacks, Brightness, Contrast, Clarity, Vibrance, and Saturation. The only one I didn't vary is Tint.
Save to a .TIF, opened in PS-CS3 where I cropped it closer to 640px x 480px size. Used the burn tool to burn the right wooden hand. USM-Sharpened and "Save-To-Web". Usually I convert the colorspace before this last step. I don't recall using any adjustment layers since timing was very close to deadline.
Handheld @38mm
Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments!
Improvements: I would've done the lighting a little different. Increase/Decrease, add a backlight behind the cutout. Wiped the window of the snow flurries.

Coming back and reading your notes, I gotta say you really did a kick-butt job given the proximity to the entry deadline! And no - definitely don't remove the snow from the windshield - that part is great! |

Nice Idea. Not a fan of the water on the windscreen as it casts the dotted shaddows on the overall scene. Also, I thing its a little dark as well |
