 Of course i would choose on that probably isn't really a puzzle. This a bowl of whole columbian coffee beans. I shot several different items but this seemed the best fit with a 600 Watt work light over the bowl.

In camera raw:
Changed White Balance to Tungsten
Adjusted Exposure, vibrance, and clarity
saved as TIFF

In Photoshop
Unsharpened mask
Did very minor levels adjustment layer
Flattened image
Duplicate layer
converted top layer to black and white using a Channel mixer adjustment layer
Changed to blend mode to Soft Light

Not much of a puzzle, unless I need to figure out what specific variety of coffee beans these are. I think they are specifically the kind that are sold in Wal-Mart.

Coffee beans... I bet if you flipped the beans over so their seam wasn't showing, people wouldn't know what these were. We're used to seeing that split on the bottom.

Coffee beans - personally I would have liked it if the beans closest to the lens (bottom of picture) were in focus and all the way to at least half way back; but that is just my opinion and what do I know :-)
