Challenge: Puzzle Macro II (Advanced Editing VII*)
Camera: Kodak Z760
Location: Avon Park, FL
Date: Nov 15, 2008
Aperture: f/4.8
ISO: iso-3200
Shutter: 1/50 sec
Galleries: Abstract, Macro
Date Uploaded: Nov 18, 2008

A close up of the cutting blade on a box of aluminum foil.

I don't have a macro lens, I took a 50mm lens off of an old film camera (Minolta srt-101) and held it backwards in front of the lens of my digital camera. Very difficult to get it focused and hold it still, but it works.

saw blade?

Saw. Also the blade does not look very sharp, so maybe the saw-dust is just an ignoble lure...
I'm watching it for a while now, but cannot begin to love it. I think it's he grooves in the metal which disturb the composition.

Not exactly a stumper, and unfortunately the subject doesn't redeem the image. Sorry.

It's definitely close, but it's blurry.

Saw?

Macro is always tricky making sure the focus (DOF) is spot on. I find a remote release shutter is best as pressing the on body shutter button causes a lot of movement in a tight shot.

Very close, something metallic with filings. A bit fuzzy, would look better in focus.
