This is some of the best liquid about, it's Ferrofluid and you get these shapes by runnning a magnet under dish with the fluid in.

It's was funny two people guessed it straight away. I thought for one moment it was too easy. Thankfully so far everyone else has not got it right.

glassware is very hard to light. maybe more of a diffused light would work here. Puzzled I am. Great job.
