Had BIG issues with this shot and thankfully they were all sorted within advanced editing rules, then I couldn't come up with a worthy title but in the end settled on this one.

This was the first time the I have seen the Sri Lankan cubs at my local Zoo(its been a while since I was there lol). It was great fun watching them play and I was trying to compose a shot of the youngest with Mum walking past when this guy jumped out of the tree and, as you can see missed ambushing Mom.

We all get 'lucky' sometimes and this shot is uncropped - am just wondering how many 'cropped too tightly' type comments this gets.

post voting.
Now, I never expected a top 20 whilst following the scores thread - am well chuffed :)

And to answer Andrews Q..

No, I didn't use a gradient, the cat had dropped from a tree and it was shady there (I exposed for the big cat expecting the smaller cub to come running out again, then his brother dropped from the tree and changed the shot totally.)

WOW, check out that score! Either the scrubber was very kind to you, or there was a last minute surge, but that is much more like it! Well done on the top 20.

Nice timing. I like the sense of motion here but i'm curious about the pp as the blurring seems a bit strange in places.

Whoa! Cool shot. The unpredicable sharpness contrasted with the blurriness is quite appealing to me.

nice timing, very well captured. The Jag on the right is nicely exposed but the left is under. Looking at the image , it seems like you applied a gradient from the top left corner down. 7

Jimmy watched on from a point of safety and his brother Dougie got the wrath of Spots, the school bully that day. He fought valiantly, did Dougie, but to no avail. In the end, bruised and bloody, he had to hand over his lunch money.

School life could be so cruel.

It's YOU'RE, not YOUR. Ok, enough for the anal retentive portion of my comment :) Nicely caught -- great action!
