wow, great capture! yeh, i agree with the previous commentors, get rid of the unpleasent distraction in the background, whether it be man or woman. |

I thought it was a woman in the background -- haha. Anyway, aside from banning spectators from moving around the perimeter of the fields, about the only think we can do is be mindful of "If I shoot right here, what *else* is in the picture that I may not realize." |

I like this, very nice action capture, As Matt mentioned, the man is the background is also taking my attention away a little. |

Great sharp image. My nit with the photo the angle shot at, and the background. The man wandering in the background is pulling my attention away. One thing to remember when shooting pitchers(the easiest position on the field IMHO) go behind the backstop, take the hood off your lens(hopefully you have a high quality filter on it) set it right against the fence and zoom(if you are using a zoom) to fill the frame, shoot as wide open as you can get(almost, I usually stop down to F4) the background will blow out due to the distance from the subject to the background) the fence will blur out even at F4 and probably pretty well at 5.6 as well. Then shoot a burst while pitching. Sometimes even manual focus if the lens is hunting a bit. Shoot 4-5 bursts while they are pitching and you should end up with a great shot. Example of what I mean. Keep posting! |

Nice crisp focus and I like the fact one hand is sharp and there is some motion blur on the ball ... have to admit I've no idea what the sport is, I assume baseball? I might have cropped down a little tighter to remove a little bit of the house just to stop it getting any attention ... maybe even cutting the persons head out but not 100% on that one! |
