I'm afraid this does not come off to me well. The composition seems awkward, with my eye led to the very upper edge, where the duck's face is hidden in shadow.

It's too bad the sun was directly in front of duck, but the flash did a decent job filling in the rest.

If you have photoshop you should use the Save for Web feature, it will get your photo close to the maximum allowable size 150 kb and 640 pixels which will show the most details. Your image is only 600 pixels wide. Here is a DPC tutorial to help you.
I am not sure how close you cropped, but it may have worked a little better if the bird was in the bottom right corner and moving into the photo rather swimming out of the image. Just my opinion.
