This is my ol' chip off the block, he's 4. Good thing he got his looks from Mommy.
Processed from RAW in Capture One. Did the selective desat in Photoshop under the basic rules as described in Konador's tutorial. Pushed the high key effect with curves and levels, all in normal blend mode. A selective colour layer (also in normal blend, basic, blechhh) to get the Blues to stand up a bit. Unsharp mask (did I overdo it? Probably.) and border. Save for DPC.
My first submission to an Open challenge in a while, now part of Team Canada I. Go team!
post - interesting voting breakdown. A little disappointed this didn't go North of 6. For those who scored me the 1s, 2s and 3s...did you suspect a rules violation? The blue wasn't the right shade of blue? What? Typical sour grapes from below the 75th pecentile, but I really thought this image was better than that. Ah, well, you live and learn! |
