Photographer’s Notes
I am sure this won't be to everyone's taste, but it pleases me. This is Seattle from “Pill Hill.”

While I live in Seattle and like to photograph this great city, I am always looking for a new look or a new point of view. I have shot the city from this location before, but never produced this look.

I am a child of the sixties. I like a lighter more upbeat music and grunge is lost on me ... it feels confusing and dark. This image is clearly dark, wherein lies the connection to Grunge, which was in fact born in Seattle. So that's the connection with the title.

Don't get me started on rap.

Nice. The top and bottom border works well with this shot. Very nice black and with shot with good details and depth. Lighting is great. It reminds me of a scene out of an adventure movie.

Very nice. I like the whole look of it. Love the contrast and B&W. But then again my hometown always looks nice.

This is really well done. Skyline shots are hard, because they all tend to look alike. Waiting for the lighting and weather to come together like this was half the battle, and the expert black and white processing drives it home. One of my top picks.

I don't care much for the frame on the top and bottom, but I love the pic other than that.
