...In fact it could've been a better shot... About 10 seconds before that moment, a boy to the left of her (whom I cropped out) was doing exactly the same thing. By the time I pull out my camera, he finished his watermelon :(... Oh well, at least I got this...

Fun image. The colors are cool and they work. I think this may also have worked in black and white as your background is sufficiently blurred.

Beautiful shot all round. I sympathize with you missing the second watermelon eater ( I'm waiting for them to bring out eye-cam, look and record.) However the composition of this shot is so strong I can't help wondering if it all turned out for the better.

Same as Irakiis said.... She is holding it so gracefully that at the immediate frist glance I thought it would be a musical instrument. I think the dof is perfect, longer dof would've been a distraction.

What tnun said... She went to town on the watermelon while maintaining such grace... Feels like there should be a flute in her hands instead... Very nice shot.

How can a young woman appear to be so beautiful and have such eloquent grace chomping on a water melon wedge and seen from behind? I could say lots of nice things about the colour, the DOF, the chief passer by, the general en passant, but it is the young woman. The hair elastic echoing the metal ring and colour in her overalls/dress is a nice touch.
