I took this photo in April or so of this year. Yesterday I felt compelled to edit it and am pleased with the result, so I thought I'd put it in here.

This is a bright red rununcula against a bright blue sky. The little editing voice said, convert to BW! So I did, then using two different Fractalius filters and xero porcelain several times.

Wow I love this shot. The other one too. Well processed. The b&w one looks so out of this world, it could be used as a prop on some scifi set.

There are slight tinges of a wonderful purply blue on the tips of the petals. Rather magical! And I love the detail in the petals, those fine gray lines. The color is gorgeous, but this one is better in my "it's a B&W world" opinion. Lovely work.

what a beautiful color in the original they are both so lovely! Lighting is sweet, & the details activate my olfactory system...too bad can't do photo "scratch & sniff" :)

I love them both- this one inducing a "softer" emotion :)

"Fractalius filters and xero porcelain"

Sheesh. I have a lot to learn. Really makes this flower stand out.

i really like your b&w process on this .. it has so much more impact that the colour one .. which is weird considering that vibrant red colour .. this looks almost 3D .. its an excellent image .. :)

This is beautiful, it reminds me of a Georgia O'keefe.
