Interesting shot, but it looks a little out of focus, and the flash hurts the photo.

The flash spoils the shot. It lightens the machine and draws away your eyes from the red little things that are important. Regards

Lighting feels harsh, shadow from flash doesn't do much for it, and it feels flat to me.

I like the concept, but the lighting and composition just don't quite work here. I might have gone in for a close up of the "little things" and done something (faster lens, diffused light) to avoid such a harsh flash.
