The DNMC police are really knocking this image because of the title. I should have said it was a Calcium tablet, then all would have been okay. Then I could have confessed in these comments that it was actually 17 elements, and it would have been too late for the DNMC.

I knew it was supposed to be ONE element, but I thought it was more interesting to see how many elements from the periodic table are in one vitamin pill. Also, I thought it was interesting to know how many of the elements are essential to our health.

heh - good idea for the elements. I think you could have done this either without the bottom plate or else use a place without the patterns. It makes the photo too busy and takes away from the subject of your photo. Not sure but it also looks like you have different sources of lighting? (like a lamp and sunlight?) Try it with just one source - and see what a different photo you would have.

Wow! Serve me a vitamin like that and you'll never get a complaint! Aside from the frighteningly over-complicated presentation of a recommended daily nutritional suppliment, this is a good shot. Perhaps a bit hot on the upper-left, and a bit yellow on the lower-right. Well done.

Nice attempt to make a picture of a vitamin pill look interesting. Technically it is sharp, good lighting and all but is just not an attractive photo to me.

Really nicely done. Love the crystal plate on top of the server plate. Adds so nicely to the shot and how the vitamin is sort of "framed" by the medalion like design below. Nice composition and done really nicely for a plain vitamin! Good going!

It took me a while to figure out what it was. If not for the caption and challenge theme it would make a little snce. Nice try.

You should have taken a photo of ONE element. The ornate bowl and plate distracts from your subject. Border is really not my taste.

Nice image, but it took me a minute to realize that there was a tablet in the middle....

Perhaps I just wasn't looking close enough, but it took me a minute to realize you had a pill in the middle of the dish. When I saw the list of elements and the shiny dish, I thought you were listing the chemical composition of the dish.

It is a pretty dish though. I would try a different way of composing a shot with the pill.

Take an interesting, creative photo of ONE of the elements of the periodic table, not 17 hehe
