| That's just cool to look at! I've never been able to photograph salt properly (I've actually tried...). A bit more DoF in the front would have helped. |

This does not represent the periodic elements very well to me (the alt is hardly visible but could be my monitor) and looks very messy.
If you had organized the mess a little better it may have helped. |

| For me it needs more depth of field and I am not sure of the white background for a translucent subject. |

| I didn't know there were different types of salt by region. Interesting. Nice composition, but I would have kept the objects in the foreground in focus and let the focus drift out to the back. Not in the middle the as you have it here. |

| That's some very well traveled spices. A little high key for me, the actual subject of the challenge is the hard to make out highlights. |
