I agree with the comments below, but would add one thing: I like your choice of focus, but, I might have changed perspective to only have the rusty hood in the background, not the green. The coil is sharp enough, and makes me think that you've been waiting quite some time to get that D70 in your hands. |

The overall color is good however, for me at least, it gives me a hey I found something rusty and took a snapshot feeling. I don't think the overexposed patches of green really add anything. The diagonal line formed by the part is nice. The DOF seems a little too narrow. While I like the blurred background the upper portion of the subject is also partially blurred. The white splotches are a little distracting. Is it water or non-rusted bits? |

I like the shapes in the composition. The beauty of rust usually lies in the coloration and this shot has many different shades of it. I like the look of rust flaking. You have some of this in the shot.
DOF is really nice and sets the winding coil apart from the background. "7" if this was entered in the "rusted" challenge. |
