Background is distracting. An upward angel for this shot would have helped to include less of it. I'm sure there are some dramatic persepctives to be had from this subject. |

For all its vacation snapshot quality, this is an excellent photo and is superbly titled. The buildings, telephone wires, object on right in background, heavy shadow on side all detract. The sky is also a little washed out.
A 6.

As an ex M113A1 FSV gunner this image grabbed my attention. I love the picture as this version of the vehicle was not that common but I don't see that much rust. |

Sharp and clear photo. The "Rusty" subject seems a bit minimal in the rusty tracks. I had to take a closer look to see that it was the tracks that were rusty. Perhaps a tight photo of just the tracks with one or two semi circles from the wheels would have been more effective. The green on red would have been nice. Or maybe the tracks, the wheel and the front spiked drive wheel. |

You didn't follow the 2nd part of the challenge - "and then look for ways to compose an interesting picture around it". |

good subject, but I think you could have found more interesting compositions by moving in closer and capturing some interesting angles and shapes using the tracks and wheels. That approach would also eliminate some of the less interesting & distracting background |

The way this is composed it feels a lot like a snapshot--many background distractions and not much to hold one's interest. Why not get close up on those treads? |
