 Fun little project but a tad stinky. The smoke was from some incense. The stuff creates good smoke but my basement stunk to high heaven afterwards. Basically I waited until the air was still then put the spoon in the smoke which then accumulated. The trick to the illusion of the pouring? I rotated the shot.
Editing? It felt like it was a lot but really wasn't that bad. In Light Room 2 I rotated the image, cropped and then adjusted levels. Adjusted clarity and vibrance. Desaturated the red, orange, and yellow channels. Did a bit of noise reduction then exported to JPG.

Post-challenge:
I seem to recall saying that my shot was unique. Apparently not since there was 3 other spoon shots in this challenge. I'm still happy enough with how it turned out.

I'm not a fan at all of your composition: the spoon looks shapeless and there's too much smoke in order to discern some nice shapes.

Lovely image, the lighting is great, so is the comp and detail, one of my fav's so far, nice quality image, 9.

Alot of spoons in this challenge.line of smoke coming down a bit overl;y distracing maybe a tighter crop would have helped
