Love the contrast and richness of tone on this shot. It seems a little soft, perhaps heavily noise-reduced.

Oversharpening Machine: Using Photoshop as a machine of sharpening and only that; to set all the levels in Unsharp Mask at their highest levels so as to seek an unrealistic picture; "That guys computer is an Oversharpening Machine and is trying to overcompensate for his softly composed and out of focus images."

Now that's real smoldering grey smoke, the real stuff instead of the coloured little fumes in the other entries :)

This image is proof that images don't have to be technically perfect to be beautiful. The dense, gloomy, turn-of-the-century atmosphere of this shot speaks volume... it could be used by Greenpeace in an anti-pollution campaign. Very strong!
