I've never seen a spider this color before. Quite golden, almost like a statue. He was quite large too, but I couldn't get close enough to get any detail. I was hanging off a dock with my legs wrapped around a post and my head dangling over the water and zoomed to 300mm to try to get him.

Wow, you sure went to a lot of work for this! I've never seen a spider that colour before either, so thanks for the effort!! I like how it looks like he's just floating there.

This has lots of creep effect going for it, I think because of the lack of web. I think that's funny about what you had to do to get the picture, because I think we all do that and it seems normal!

I'm picturing you in the position you describe.

Now, I'm picturing you falling in.

oops.

Good capture -- interesting in that he looks suspended in midair

Quote delicate to look at, and it has a feeling of spacial tension as well.

Good story! So if you were upside down, is this spider rightside up? Be careful, we don't want anyone to get hurt, or wet, in this SC!

Cool pic Kelli! I hope you had your camera strap wrapped around your neck! You wouldn't want to lose that in the water!
