I like the addition of the broken glass, if it were me it probably would have really been broken! ;) |

That's pretty good to baffle those guys - they tend to know their stuff. Good job on the pp to give it a bit of grunge.
I think Greg may be onto something, I tend to run waaaaaaaaay too much stuff at once and seriously tax my CPU. Although, they do tend to take it well with ventilation. I once ran a CPU at 100% for over a year with no problems at all. |

Well thought out shot Rozy..the grungy processing effect makes this image....I actually thought that you would process the shot of Scott pulling out his hair...lol
This may teach you a lesson though - that PC's are not built to be run 28 hours a day processing 1gb photoshop images...10 at a time!!! lol
P.S. Please return my computer without the broken glass and with at least 200kb of memory available - I need to post my second image in this side challenge..............xox :>) |

I look at my computer the same way. But the difference is I am not able to fix it. The tones really work in this shot.. |

A horrible predicament to be in I know but his puzzled expression really made me laugh! The processing is brilliant. |

I like the puzzled expression, but the thing in this photo that grabs my attention is the cracked glass. Is that the overlay? Is it there to signify the broken computer? Sorry to be dense.
edit: Read your comments after I wrote mine. Questions are answered.

I always look at the picture before I read the photographers comment. I couldn't figure out how your computer broke the glass, so I thought I'd better read the comments. LOL! Great processing (as always)! |

Oh, this just says it all. The dark tones and his expression (as well as the broken glass) add to the mystery and angst of the situation. I totally empathize.
The motherboard on my old computer died three weeks ago, and it was an anxious time waiting to see if my data could be recovered, and finding out that while my files were recoverable, my programs weren't. I now have a new (early Christmas present from my sweet husband) computer which is bigger, faster, and has more whistles and bells than the old one, but is requiring a bit of a learning curve on my part (which explains why I am still up at 4 a.m. - no, it's really 3 a.m. because of the time change). Photoshop is much easier with 4 gb of ram than with 556 mb.
Good luck with your new and improved machine. |
