 Shot from the drivers seat.
Monopod and old 300mm f4.5 manual ED IF Ai lens with 11mm ext ring. All manual settings and focus.
Cropped, brightness, levels, shadows.
I thought it was cool when I opened this shot on screen and saw the way the eyes look as if they are looking back at me.

Great capture. All of ours have disappeared with the cooler weather coming in. These are always a favorite subject.

It looks like a great shoot with all of those pictures. I have trouble using the automatic settings on my equipment, let alone full manual.

ahh..those awesome photos made even better by not having to gett out of the car!!! aren't they beautiful and interesting to see up close

Nice detail on the wings! Maybe that's the secret, if I try not getting out of the car maybe they won't fly away before I can snap one off. LOL!
