Oh this is wonderful, what an inspired use of zone plate. I love the pinkish tones and the dreamy far away quality of Miss Havisham. |

I didn't get it because I never read the book. I think you did a great job at portraying the situation but I think that most people, like me, didn't get it. |

Well I understood it and it got a 6 from me :) Never even crossed my mind it was a ZP shot! Am wondering if 'Miss Haversham' and the Clock changed position this would have scored a little more?
Congrats on a 5+ Karen :) |

I don't think that the literary reference should have taken you so far down as the image is sublime. I *still* don't exactly understand the reference....maybe I should read it! LOL!! |

Excellent take on the challenge! Do keep making people think - it gives us something in challenges to do other than poke at numbers. |

wonderful... and great DPC finish for a lensless photo. Still not a 5.5 :) |

soooooo cool and artsy! I may have to pick up that book again some time because I do not remember the character. Love the storytelling and symbolism. The soft focus is dreamy and perfect! |

perfect exposure on the model. If only you had a prettier clock! Still, a great shot. |

Sorry, I'm missing the significance of the time and name and veil. Nicely executed. |

Do not get it. I like the wispy effect on the girl. The relfection on the clock detracts from the photo. |

Sitting here wondering what the connection is between the rose and the clock, only to discover (to my delight) that it's not a rose at all... and I see her.
A charming and brilliant depiction of this character. My favourite for this challenge. |

Having never read Great Expectations, I'll habve to take your word that this is a legitimate tie-in. Terrific image, nonetheless. 6 |

Very clever, though I'm not sure if everybody will be familiar with the Dickens character. From what I remember, this is the time that she was abandoned at the alter? Perhaps too much foreknowledge is needed to "get" this, but I hope not. I like the blur and the ghostly feel of Miss Havisham inthe back. I find the white gap in the lower left corner a little distracting, a version with the clock filling that corner would be cool. |
