 A bar graph using pennies. The crash at the end symbolizes what the markets are currently going through.

A huge thanks to my wife for having the steady hand and patience to stack those pennies. I tried a few times unsuccessfully!

A peice of bristol board provided the background. A studio light was off to the left to give a nice yellowish shine to the pennies. An SB-800 with a shoot through umbrella was off to the right that hit the whole picture with a soft but bright light. An SB-600 was to the rear and left dialed down to give that bit of a shadow coming off of the 'graph'.

Editting was mostly done in Lightroom. Cropped, slight rotation, sharpened, temperature and colour adjustments. Final resize and Unsharp Mask done in The GIMP.

I like it. Fine concept and well executed. One of those pics that would do well on a wall as well as on a stockphoto site. 9

love the slumping pils of pennies at the end, great lighting, would have liked to see a slightly different pov to add interest. 7
