Thank you all for such constructive feedback. I intentionally made the background large to emphasize the subject's smallness, but that clearly backfired :-)

This almost looks like the same grainy background that I just saw in an entry of a Canadian penny. Not sure how it is looking like noisy grain, but with such a sharp reflection. I'll be checking back on this and the other one after the challenge.
As far as the shot, I think it's a good effort, but the subject IMO, needs to be a bit larger in the frame. There's just too much background and not enough subject for me. |

There is too much empty space here. I'd like to see it zoomed in on the subject. I don't really understand the title. |

Nice idea, a little too much going on (noise/grain/smears)on the surface thats distracting from the subject for me. |

Such a tiny little piggy! In advanced physics in high school (so long ago now) we used to have this bowl that would reflect things and make them appear in 3-d, like a hologram, above it. We always used a little piggy like this one. |
