Taken at the Forest of Nisene Marks state park near Santa Cruz, CA. My daughter was driving up the bumpy road, while I was firing away with the remote. I had my camera braced on a monopod and sticking through the sunroof. Couldn't drive that fast on the road, so had to shoot very slow to get some blur, which made it hard to keep the camera steady.
I'm not expecting anything from this shot, most likely a sub-5.0 score. Colors are kind of flat, and not much of interest in the road other than the curve up ahead. But I always wanted to try this kind of shot, and had an hour to kill while visting my daughter at college, so we went out and had a blast doing this. Might not score well, but who cares.
Post-challenge -- woah, spent the entire challenge below 4 and ended up at 5.09. Nice finish -- thanks to the late voters, or maybe it was the early voters who voted less than 20%!
