Challenge: Street Photography III (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Canon PowerShot G9
Location: Cambridge, Grand Arcade
Date: Oct 26, 2008
Aperture: 4.5
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/20
Galleries: Urban, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Oct 26, 2008

Taken at the Grand Arcade in Cambridge. Saw this group of teenagers on the top level just leaning against the edge and indulging is a good gossip. I liked how each girl had their own different style - though it was an interesting contrast with the four poses on the advertising in the background.

Not a lot of pp, neat image and USM for the most part; plus the obligatory B&W for a street photo pic.

Are they watching for guys or checking out the competition? I like how the four seem to echo the four on the poster across the way, only younger and perhaps not as well adorned.

Snuck a photo at the mall? I think if one of the subjects had looked back when you captured the shot, it'd bring the viewer more into the shot. I do like the mural on the back wall and how it ties the fashion to the foreground. That being said, I think keeping this shot in color would have been stronger. Fashion is about colors and textures and by removing the color, you've eliminated some of the subject you're trying to convey.
