Trying all week to find something more interesting than people eating ice cream cones or carrying shopping bags around, I concluded that street photography is HARD!

This was taken one night after work at our downtown Main Plaza. He's standing on the side of the San Fernando Cathedral just looking so lost and lonely (hence the title)

I love this image, Sandy. Getting the bird in flight is just icing on the cake. I held my hand over the top of the frame the way crabappl3 suggests. It works well, so maybe he gave us both quite good advice ;-)
Thanks, as always.

Very cool with having the bird in the picture. I like how it looks like the guy is wondering whether or not the giant bird is going to come get him lol. Great capture!

Well I do just like this. The (flying) pigeon is just flat out, and the buttresses and the large person are just there.

The timing on this shot is absolutely perfect! You could not have set this up as well if you were trying to. Wonderful example of a street photograph.

As you may or may not know, I'm a fan of pigeons and other city birds. I love where you caught the in-flight one in the frame and the fact you didn't crop out the other one at the top. I like your title as well - suits this nicely.

Moving the browser size I cropped off the top of the image from above the white wall on the right, making it almost a square composition, and I find that it is a stronger image keeping the eye down to your subject matter. Don't be afraid to crop out things that pull the eye away from your main subject.

Love any shot with a bird in it, and this is no exception. The lines are great. Like the processing as well. Great capture.
