Great job Steve. Splendid idea and the whole setup is a beaut. The dripping candles, textured old trunk. Cool touch using those one dollar coins? What may have cost some slight points is that I can see some texture in the black background, near the top right side. None of the comments seemed to have mentioned it so I reckon it wasn't a big deal , most voters didn't see it on their monitors.

The lighting and reflection on this one scores super high with me... if I had voted this would have been my top pick, so I am really sorry I didn't take the time last week.

Super cool shot.

Ah..yes..the image of pirates gold in a treasure chest is a fitting interpretation of the challenge theme too. And you have done so in a beautifully crafted shot.

Plenty of "lots of coins" entries in the challenge, but the staging here makes it clear winner. Great props, love the candles and reds in the image and you haven't overblown the highlights on the coins.

It does seem safer.
Great Idea and great execution. Light from the candles to help light the box is great. I would have been tempted to be slightly fdurther out, and make more use of the reflections as well (would need to see the result though) as at the moment the candle reflections (especially the small one) are awkwardly cropped (can just see the light glow from it)
But thats minor. Great capture here. Well Done
