The snowy egret fishes by pacing up and down the edge of the water, then sticking its head in and grabbing small fish.

Since it came up in the comments....the snowy egret has yellow legs and feet. The way it fishes is by waving its feet around in the water, then grabbing little fishies that see the feet and think they're something good to eat.

Nice shot. I like the horizontal reflections. I might've cropped foreground out of it more.

Nice reflection colors! He stands out nicely against the water bkgrd, too bad he couldn't have been in the water so he would've been surrounded by those pretty colors. Don't you hate when wild critters don't take directions! ;)

Lovely bird, nice job on the exposure and I like the feathers blowing in the breeze. DOF strikes me as a little odd in the foreground as it seems to be uniformly OOF and then suddenly in-focus at the shoreline, rather than a gradual change. Could be a trick of the angles of the camera and the shore.

Beautiful and nice composition. For me the bird is slightly overwhelmed by the vivid colour and horizontals in the water.

if only that out of focus thing wasn't at the bottom. this is an excellent photo even with the out of focus thing, my guess is top ten, no doubt.

Nice composition and capture. The OOF logs/twigs in the bottom right hand corner catches my eye a little.
