 usm, curves, contrast/brightness, crop, add border, resize, save to web.
Photographing a glass ball in sunlight, is a dangerous activity. I tried hand-holding it and got burnt in a second. Put it on a wooden table for a few seconds and produced smoke and a little charred spot.I eventually set it up on its own stand which wasn't really the look I was after, but even that had to be done in a very short time span. I am glad that it has never been displayed on a sunlit window sill.

I really like the idea behind this shot, I think the execution could maybe have been a little better but overall a very pleasing image.

I think to improve it personally I would have used a reflector or strobe to get some light on the iron work below the globe as at the moment it looks very heavy at the bottom, quite heavy at the top and lacking in the middle of the image.
