 This was the closest I could come to anything suburban deep in the forest of Michigan U.P.

As far as the "bin" being distracting, I think it is integral to the composition. It isn't by accident that it is on a rule of thirds power point.

Very cool entry Juli. Just shows you how different suburbia can be for different parts of the world. I really like the dappled light here and the way the door to the tennis courts stands out in contrast is very nice. I think I might have cropped just a tad off the left, but it is nice the way it is.

Like the soft feel to this and the tones but the lack of a focal point combined with the awkward composition lets this down. The bin is also very distracting.
