Hansel and Gretel are sent into the woods with nothing but a roll of bread and each other to their dismay the birds gobble up their bread crumbs and they must find their way back to their father with many an adventure along the way.

Thank you to njsabs2323 for lending her gorgeous daughter who did a much better job "playing the part" than my hambone son. LOL

I probably should have gone with my alternate version at the time of loading I thought the darker less saturated version lent itself to the scary grim scene they found themselves in - but alas, it was not really liked. Oh well - next time!

My other option was this scene

You are doing marvelous for your first four challenges! Keep it up. This is a fun take. I almost like the vibrant colors of the alternative, but still this was a strong showing. Good job.

Anyone who gets to use Jennifer's daughter should be required to have a "handicap" :) Just kidding! This is beautiful. I think it is perfect for the scene you were conveying. Exactly how I envision that dark, scary scene in Hansel and Gretel lost in the forest.

Gotta' love his facial expression :-) He may have a future as an actor. Nice desat to give this an unreal feel.

Nice composition, but not very vibrant to me. Maybe you desaturated to give it a vintage feel?

Seems a little dark. I think you were trying for a storybook look to this. I'm not sure it works for me though. I think that's just my own preference at work there, though.

The light is a bit flat but the scene and composition are good.

Good setup, maybe a little more color to fit the fairy tale theme.
