So maybe this bird is not big enough to fly of with an apple or two or three. But it is sorta golden and it is the first one I've ever shot and it's in the list of The Brothers Grimm stories and Rapunzel and her crew were just not in town this week.

Post: Camera raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Shapen. Crop, crop, crop, crop, crop... nice details in the bird - the background is quite distracting and because of it the bird does not separate easily

Love the idea and the image. I think the bird is in focus, but the flower in the background is so large and out of focus that it draws the eye away from the beautiful bird and because the color tones are so similar make the bird appear to be out of focus as well. I guess to sum it up in a short but simple way the foreground and backgroung are at war for focus in this image, and it ends up hurting the eyes.

I might have plucked that dead leaf from the upper left, as I don't believe it adds to the shot, but great colors.

very lucky to get such a clear shot of the bird, but the leaf behind it detracts a bit.

Nice sharp bird shot, but the branch coming out of it's head and the dead leaf distract from it

Lovely capture, very pretty bird and so sharply focused. I love the sunflower in the back, it does look a wee bit like it's coming from the bird's head but that aside, it's a beautiful shot.

very nice, good focus, good color

The flower growing out of the head isn't optimal

the composition is a little awkward with the flower in the background, but color and focus is really nice.
