 The genie is artwork placed behind the bottle. The bottle is placed on a glass sheet and lit from beneath with a single flash and a blue filter. Bubbles in the bottle are created with hair styling gel (for which I have little use these days!).
For some reason, the face looks the other way up in the thumbnail...

Excellent "special effects" image -- though I suspect some literalist will note that the spirit is (at least partially) OUT of the bottle ... ;-)

Interesting photo. I like the overall blue theme and the bubbles in the bottle. I'd like to see how you did this. I'd like to see the spirit a little sharper, but maybe spirits aren't that sharp after all.

Creative and artistic. I really like your spirit and the way he flows upwards out of the bottle. Lovely cobalt blues contrast nicely against the black background.
