A good idea but without the title it really doesn't make sense for the challenge overall. Also the lettering on the water tower (it is a water tower, right?) also takes away from the illustion you were trying to create. The duotone in the shot is also a bit dark and forbidding, I'm guessing you went with that because of the cloudy day. I think black and white might have worked better with this shot and if you could have had a hand in there holding the base of the tower that would have really made this shot and fit the title better. Contrast is also lacking to me, it seems flat and doesn't really grab my attention. Started at a 4 but am raising to a 5

Nice symmetry and I like how the clouds seem to be swirling around the tower. The saturation and contrast could really be bumped to make the tower pop like it should.

I'd go for a less-centered composition with this subject.

Without the title I don't think I would have made the connection to a drumstick and I'm married to a professional drummer. Even with the title it's a bit of a stretch since drumsticks have round, tapered tips not flat, cylindrical tips. The tower makes an imposing subject but this shot lacks tonal interest. Perhaps on a day when the sky was blue, or the clouds spectacular colors? A bit more focus on the colum would reveal more detail in the ridges and add textural interest to make up for the lack of tonal interest.
