When last we met banmorn....oh well....anyway, some day soon, I'm jut going to have to get a model to work with on a regular basis. I had one but she is long gone. I'm just real bad with asking people and I really don't have a studio. So it would be outdoorsy stuff and my choices of background tend to be a bit geometric, and thus distracting. So it's me again. I used the bathroom and its ambient light, a long flourescent light over the mirror that runs along the entire width of the the wall behind the counter and sink. I hung a photoflex lite disc on the shower to try and even out the light. Later I used another reflector to cut back on some glare, but it wasn't really necessary. This one was just one reflector, camera on tripod with cable remote, me in front of black velvet hung over the bathroom door with the door shut. Guess I should have shaved while I was there.

I rather liked how this and the one next in the series turned out. I have been keeping some flowers in the bathroom as it seems cooler in there in hopes that they will last long enough for me to get to them. But there they were and I was looking at them during the shot.

Post: Camera Raw adjstments in PSElements 6.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrat and hue/saturation. Neat Image. USM. Slightly too yellow, though I wanted it warm, I tried to get rid of the yellow cast and settled on something that sort of did. Crop. Resize. USM.

The model's skin looks yellowish on my screen. Maybe a conversion to black and white would be better? Nice detail and composition. Expressive too. I might have cropped down to just above the eyebrows.

I like the expression and blackness, but would prefer if the shadows were darker around the face.

well composed, good expression. cropped a bit tight at bottom. overall too dark, light should have been a tad brighter or exposure longer
