I shot this at the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress at the DPC Washington, DC GTG. I had visited this building two years ago, almost to the date, as a guest of two members of another digital photo site, who work at the Library of Congress. They gave me a guided tour. I did not have any fast glass then and I was very happy to go back there to shoot again.

This area was on our way out of the building. giega shot it as well....do you think he will enter it? Hope mine is better.

Congratulations on the POTD, Robert. Never been in this building myself but from photos I have seen such as yours, it appears to be a beautiful space.

Congrats on the POTD! This is a very intriguing perspective shot, with the way the arches carry your attention from right to left back and forth into the distance.
DPC score would have been much higher if you had been able to use a tripod and stop down to f11 or so to get the distant arches in better focus. The uniform existing light helps a lot with this shot too.

This is an arresting image. I think it should have placed much higher. Sorry I didn't vote on this challenge.

Really nicely composed. Nice lines. Would only suggest a slight crop off the bottom so we only see the yellow part of the arches.

Buzzer was laughed out of the hive when he showcased his new ideas for the Queen's chambers. Sure, they were elgant, but they just weren't *bee*.

Beautiful curves and angles, the pattern is groovy. Really good angle on this and the light is great.

I love the repetition - very Escher-like. And thank you for not hypersaturating the yellow.

very good study of shapes. a bit noisy, though, and needs more DOF (probably there wasn't enough light)
