Love the feedback - thank you again! I'm a bit suprised I did end up as high as I did - all reasons as you pointed out. I knew when I submitted it that it wasn't quite right but did it anyway. I think I got further bc my model is so stunning! :)

This is really cool, one of my favourites in the challenge although it is not a portrait shot. The model is fantastic, the pose is fantastic. But you got hit for it not being a true portrait shot. The lower hand being cropped through the middle is not so good! Ideally this is a fashion shot and not a portrait and to get the full benefit of it as such you should have cropped a lot lower (probably losing you more points in a portrait challenge for sure). The asymmetrical shoulders always works, especially with the higher shoulder away from the light source. I think you should redo the photo as a fashion shot. If it were mine, I would take the crop lower to include the hanging hand and some more space below it, I would take the dodge tool in highlight mode at about 15% and bring out more highlights on her hair on the darker side, only the hair. I would also get the liquifier going and touch in the arm on the right side where the little bump is. I'd then take the cloning tool in lighten mode with 50% opacity and 70% flow to clean up the shadows in the face especially that annoying shadow under the right eye, and also the shadow on the chin.

Her left hand pulling down the dress lightly has a good effect although I would have probably opened the legs a slight little more so her hanging right arm didn't cover that so much, because that brings so much into the image, the hanging straps I would have personally taken out completely, they just make the shot busier than it should be. Background is excellent, the plant too, the color toning fits so well! I really like this photo a lot, it has a lot of potential!

ya :)

pb for me for portrait scoring..the crop was intentional, the plant was intentional, the blownout background was absolutely intentional. the hand grew to drive me CRAZY. Not sure why I did that.. and yes, this is in my studio.. lighting intentional. i think ;)

cool pose, not sure i like how her hand is cropped off. that little plant next to her is distracting as well

Pretty girl, nice photo, but I think the crop has spoilt it somewhat.
